A veteran GTA modder known as DryxioGTA has released a proof‑of‑concept that stitches Grand Theft Auto III, Vice City and San Andreas together with live portals. By stepping into three glowing gateways placed on Grove Street in San Andreas, players are instantly transferred to the corresponding city and character, with the game swapping seamlessly.
The technical trick is that all three titles run inside a single process, sharing one Direct3D device, while each portal displays a live GPU texture rather than a pre‑recorded video. Each world retains its own save data, missions, traffic flow and physics in real time, so the environments continue to evolve even when the player is elsewhere. The mod even supports cross‑world combat – shooting through a portal triggers a wanted level and enemy reaction in the originating city.

The video demo has sparked enthusiastic comments, with fans noting the “inter‑GTA portals before GTA 6” vibe. Though still in development and unnamed, the project showcases what community tools can achieve ahead of Rockstar’s upcoming GTA 6 launch later this year.
