Ned Luke, the actor who portrayed Michael De Santa in Grand Theft Auto V, pushed back against critics claiming Grand Theft Auto 6 looks too much like its 2013 predecessor. Speaking to YouTube channels Partychat and House of Highlights, Luke called such comparisons "out of their minds," pointing to the game’s improved character movement and modernized visuals.
Luke highlighted the realism in GTA 6’s animations, contrasting the mechanical walks of GTA V with the more natural movements in the new title. He also praised the detailed destruction effects and vehicle models, arguing the graphics surpass those of Red Dead Redemption 2. The comments came after Rockstar’s Extended Look revealed new missions, side activities, and a revamped Wanted system.
The actor, who has remained engaged with fans since GTA V’s release, previously praised Lucia’s introduction in GTA 6 as groundbreaking. Rockstar has scheduled GTA 6 for November 19, 2026, on PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S, with more details expected before launch.
