World of Tanks’ largest update of 2026, Overdrive, drops with six Tier XI vehicles, including a new German heavy line culminating in the Pz.Kpfw. Neu. These heavies introduce the Shell Calibration System, letting players fine-tune shots for better accuracy and penetration. Five additional Tier XI vehicles from other nations bring fresh mechanics like adaptive autoloaders and rocket-assisted weapons, reshaping high-tier battles.
Matchmaking improves with a new light tank role system—Scout, Versatile, or Support—ensuring balanced teams and limiting light tanks in Tier VII+ matches. Visual and audio updates sharpen battlefield feedback, while light tank rebalancing overhauls 30 vehicles to better fit their roles. A new testing system aims to reduce repeated map appearances, adding variety to every session.

Personal Battle Missions introduce a new Operation with the Fossa VM 68, a German wheeled medium tank, as its top reward. The update also debuts the Spotlight cinematic intro, highlights three standout vehicles before battles, and launches the Year of the Phoenix with night battles and Illumination Flares. A Redeployment Bonus offers ×4 Combat XP for three days after a 30-day absence, while returning after 60 days grants Premium vehicles, missions, and styles.

Servers go offline September 1, 2026, from 09:30 to 15:00 CEST for the rollout.
