Amazon's God of War TV show is undergoing a significant change due to an injury sustained by actor Ryan Hurst, who was set to play Kratos. Hurst reportedly tore a bicep while performing a stunt, requiring surgery and recovery time.
As a result, the role of Kratos will be recast, and production is planned to restart by mid-October with a new actor in the role. This means that any scenes already shot will have to be redone, a significant setback for the show.

The recasting comes after a mixed reaction to the initial photo of Hurst as Kratos, and it remains to be seen who will take on the iconic role. Despite the setback, the show is expected to move forward, with a new Kratos set to be announced soon.
