X-Men '97 Season 2, Episode 5, titled 'Weapon X, Lies, and DVDs,' finally gives Wolverine the spotlight. The episode is a throwback to classic '80s action movies and explores the bond between Wolverine and Morph.
However, the series' tendency to rush through source material is evident, with the Brood being underutilized and Wolverine's adamantium subplot being resolved too quickly.
The episode's focus on Morph is a welcome treat, and the character's oddball bond with Wolverine is well-explored. Despite its flaws, the episode is an entertaining romp, but it could have been something more.
