World of Warships will receive Update 15.8, marking the next major content drop for the naval combat game. The patch focuses on expanding the roster with new vessels while refining existing mechanics.
New additions include a French battleship line, starting with the Tier VIII *Saint Louis*, alongside a Soviet cruiser, the *Chapayev*, slated for Tier VII. Balance updates target high-tier battleships, adjusting firepower and armor profiles to curb overperforming ships. Crew training costs are also reduced, easing progression for new players.
Quality-of-life changes simplify matchmaking and improve matchmaking times, particularly for lower-tier queues. Clan battles receive updated rules to encourage more competitive play. The update rolls out on July 23, with a test server release scheduled for July 16.
