Vanillaware’s founder George Kamitani has publicly said the studio “totally wants” its catalog to appear on PC, but he stressed that any port will only happen if a publisher is willing to fund the work. The comment was relayed by games journalist James Mielke on Bluesky, who quoted Kamitani telling him that the decision rests with the publisher.
Mielke also clarified that earlier reports claiming Kamitani had refused PC ports were inaccurate. He urged fans to “make some noise” if they want titles such as 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim, Dragon’s Crown, Unicorn Overlord, Odin Sphere and others to reach the platform. The studio’s newest release, Muramasa: Revenant Blades, already has a Steam page, but many of its earlier games remain confined to older consoles or emulators.

Without a publisher’s green light, those games are unlikely to appear on PC. Kamitani encouraged the community to voice demand on social media, suggesting simple posts like “Odin Sphere PC when?” could sway decisions. Titles like Dragon’s Crown or the controller‑friendly RTS Grimgrimoire could find new life on PC if the right partner steps in.
