The developer of Red Flag, a social deduction game, had submitted a broken build to Steam on the deadline day for June's Next Fest. With the review and approval process typically taking five to seven days, the team was in a tight spot.
In a desperate attempt, they sent an email to Steam Support, which surprisingly led to a swift resolution. Steam's reviewer not only identified the issue with the C++ redistributable setup but also fixed it, allowing the game to be approved in time for Next Fest.

The developer expressed gratitude towards Steam Support, stating that their actions saved the game from missing the deadline. This experience has been shared by other indie developers, who have also benefited from Steam's support in similar situations.
