Slitherine confirmed that Warhammer Blood Bowl, an overhaul of Blood Bowl 3, will launch in the fall. The publisher says the update will bring the digital game in line with the tabletop’s current third‑season ruleset.
The move follows Nacon’s insolvency, which left strategy specialist Slitherine to take over publishing while Cyanide remains the developer. Marco Alessandro Minoli, Slitherine’s publishing director, said the goal is to make Warhammer Blood Bowl the definitive Blood Bowl experience and to support it as a living product, echoing the studio’s work on Warhammer 40,000 titles.

Warhammer Blood Bowl will add two fresh squads – the undead Tomb Kings and the Monty‑Python‑inspired Bretonnians – and introduce a “Rumble Mode” where seven‑player teams clash in quicker matches. A demo is slated for the end of summer, and anyone who already owns Blood Bowl 3 will receive the upgrade at no extra cost, with existing team purchases and cosmetics carrying over.

If the update lives up to its promises, Slitherine aims to sustain long‑term support, turning the game into a constantly evolving platform for fans of the brutal tabletop sport.
