Rick and Morty is back for its ninth season, debuting on Adult Swim Sunday, May 24, at 11 p.m. EST. The first episode, "There's Something About Morty," kicks off a ten‑episode run that will air on the same night each week.
The confirmed lineup runs through July 26, with titles like "Ricks Days, Seven Nights" (May 31) and "Field of Dreams" (July 26). Unlike previous seasons, the show won’t hit streaming platforms until after the broadcast run is complete. Adult Swim has announced that both HBO Max and Hulu will begin adding episodes on June 15, likely in batches as the season progresses. Viewers who want to see new episodes before then will need a live‑TV service that carries Adult Swim.
The series was originally green‑lit for 70 episodes in 2018 and received another renewal in 2024, pushing the total to twelve seasons. With Season 9 now airing, roughly 30 episodes remain under the current order, leaving plenty of room for future storylines.
