Matt Damon has expressed his desire to create a new Jason Bourne movie that lives up to the standards of the first three films in the series. Damon is currently working with Conclave and All Quiet on the Western Front director Edward Berger to develop the project.
Damon's goal is to create a film that feels like a natural continuation of the original trilogy, which consisted of The Bourne Identity, The Bourne Supremacy, and The Bourne Ultimatum.
The new film would be the sixth installment in the Jason Bourne series, with Damon having previously starred in four of the five existing films. He skipped out on The Bourne Legacy, which was directed by Tony Gilroy and starred Jeremy Renner.
