God of War Laufey, a spinoff of the God of War series, was recently announced during Sony's State of Play showcase. The game features a character named Phranque, a sentient cube who accompanies the main character on her journey.
To bring Phranque to life, actor Jack Quaid physically embodied a geometric shape by wearing a cubic armature of PVC pipe during motion capture sessions. This innovative technique allowed Quaid to interact with his costars in the same physical space, creating a more believable performance.

God of War Laufey does not have a release date yet, and it is unlikely to be released on PC due to Sony's recent strategic shifts. However, the game's use of groundbreaking motion capture technology is still worth noting for its artistic and technical merits.
