Beamdog has pushed version 2.7 of its patch for Baldur's Gate: Enhanced Edition, Baldur's Gate II: Enhanced Edition and Icewind Dale: Enhanced Edition. The build, which spent February in beta, is now live across Steam, GOG and other storefronts, delivering the changes to every player automatically.
The headline improvements focus on quality‑of‑life. Steam Cloud saves are now governed by the Steam client settings instead of the in‑game menu, bringing the titles in line with how most Steam games handle cloud data. Apple Silicon support adds native performance on M‑series Macs, promising faster launches, smoother rendering and lower power draw, while GOG Galaxy cloud saves have also been fixed.

Beyond the platform tweaks, Beamdog has expanded language coverage with community translations—Chinese (simplified), Korean, Russian for the Shadows of the Dark campaign, plus Brazilian Portuguese, Czech and Ukrainian for Baldur's Gate II, and Hungarian and Japanese for Icewind Dale. The update also refines Chinese fonts, saves font‑size per language, and introduces a suite of mobile fixes: restored iOS purchase syncing, keyboard cursor handling, Android foldable UI scaling, DLC visibility, and full mod‑file access. Android users with permission errors must reinstall, exporting saves first.

Together these changes keep the classic Infinity Engine games functional on modern hardware, broaden their accessibility, and give long‑time fans a smoother, more multilingual experience.
