Embark Studios has overhauled how map conditions appear in *Arc Raiders* to address complaints about inaccessible content. Previously, conditions followed a single global schedule, leaving some players unable to access certain maps during their own peak hours. The new system, Regional Map Condition Scheduling, adjusts condition timings based on regional player activity.
Starting with update 1.42.0, conditions such as Bird City’s rubber duck hunts or Cold Snap’s freezing temperatures will align with each region’s busiest playtimes. Embark says the goal is to ensure no player misses out on limited-time events due to mismatched schedules. The change follows earlier attempts to increase frequency, which didn’t fully resolve regional disparities.
Players can now track the updated schedule via the map conditions tracker, which shows a broader spread of active conditions during local peak hours. The shift aims to make content more accessible without requiring late-night or early-morning play sessions.
